LOW COST SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM (LCSTS)
The Low Cost Sustainable Transport System (LCSTS) is designed to provide a rail solution to public transportation for cities and other locations where transport planning has not been cost effective. It is designed in a way that allows for simple, modular construction of a comparative small basic structure that meets all current standards, while taking advantage of new and sustainable technologies.
ELEVATED CORRIDOR
The Elevated Corridor is a rail transportation system, which lowers capital and maintenance costs. The superstructure is entirely compatible with existing rail construction and can be used as a simple and effective way of renewing or replacing current life expired or damaged infrastructure without compromising track quality. The Elevated Corridor also solves issues of transition from traditional ballasted track onto elevated structures.
NEXTG LADDER TRACK
The NextG Ladder Track is stronger than a traditional track; it has a longer life span and improves vibration mitigation. These benefits combine to provide the first true advancement in ladder track technology. The elevated ladder track addresses vibration mitigation in a way that has previously only been seen in slab and ballastless track systems; it dampens the vibration through the beam, which not only protects the supporting beam but also addresses differential settlement.
NEXTG RAIL BRIDGE
The Low Cost Sustainable Transport System (LCSTS) is designed to provide a range of rail solutions, from public transportation for cities to heavy haul freight. It is designed in a way that allows for simple, modular construction of a comparatively small basic structure that meets all current standards. The NextG Rail Bridge has been designed for use with both metro and heavy haul infrastructure. It can be used for new installations or retrofitted on existing bridges. This advancement on bridge technology negates the need for ballast, reducing maintenance and increasing the asset lifespan. The NextG Rail Bridge is fully compatible with existing rail infrastructure and is a simple and effective way to renew, or replace, current life expired or damaged infrastructure without compromising track quality. In addition, it provides an effective interface solution between ballasted and ballastless track systems.
PLATFORMS
The highest cost of any new rail network is its stations. These can cost in excess of $500M and can have a huge impact on any city. With the LCSTS these are entirely unnecessary; the focus instead is on simple, cost-effective individual platforms. This can reduce the cost of a platform to little more than the cost of an elevated bus stop.
